Pregnancy, oils & supplements

Out of my three pregnancies, this one was hands down the worst for nausea which lasted for about the first 15 weeks. It would eventually kick in late morning and last majority of the day, funnily enough the worst being at night. I don’t know why they call it morning sickness 😝

I had a lot of aversions to smells and different types of food, which made using my oils hard but I did have some faithful ones that didn’t put me off. I really tried to stick to using oils that were familiar and fresh. Ones that really didn’t bother me was Peppermint or R.C, they were actually quite soothing and helped my foggy brain!

Fatigue hit HARD & still does because hello two kids, renovations and running a biz from home which I am SUPER grateful for because it means I choose when I wanna work and some days it means from bed. I loved using oils and supplements to support my energy levels, particularly Ningxia Red which I drink on a daily basis. If you’re a mama — you NEED this in your life. Adding Lemon in my water really helped me stay hydrated and feeling refreshed.

I’m loving taking the Alkalime supplement by Young Living for heartburn that’s currently kicking off in it’s true style in my pregnancies. I’m taking the Foraged For You mothers blend, magnesium, cod liver oil, Young Living’s Life9 probiotic, extra zinc but more so because I’m just generally low right now for that.

At night, I swearing by the Tranquil Roll-On because its relaxing smell helps me unwind like nothing else. I just roll it on the bottoms of my feet each night. Another roller I’m loving is one I made with my starter bundle oils: valor and peace & calming. I also love taking the occasional bath at night where I put a few drops of Lavender and Frankincense in my bathwater to help me unwind.

I also spray my magnesium spray infused with valor and peace & calming on my feet which is known to be great for many things but I love it for calming my nervous system.

Lastly, to support my growing bump, I’m using frankincense, lavender & copaiba with jojoba oil. It smells dreamy and is so nourishing.

I’ll do another post on emotional support oils too because that’s a whole thing of it’s own!
